Imaging seeker
Goal: develop an imaging seeker system to study the efficiency of new missiles using imaging sensors.

Lyrtech contribution:

• Define the hardware architecture
• Design the image processing architecture
• Develop new tracking algorithms

Simulation of Engagement of Missile Aircraft and Countermeasure - Semac
Goal: implement a "hardware in-the-loop" missile engagement simulation platform

Lyrtech contribution:

• Collaborate on development and testing of the initial prototype
• Turnkey delivery for the most recent version of the system
• Lyrtech is the only company in Canada with expertise in this system

Passive Infrared Ranging and Target Evaluation System - PIRATES
Goal: develop an infra-red spectral imaging environment to study spectral signatures of targets

Lyrtech contribution:

• Develop, maintain and upgrade PIRATES control softwareo
• Develop of software analysis modules
• Integrate digital video capture
• Airborne version currently under development

Future Armored Vehicle System - FAVS III
Goal: implement and integrate multiple electronic counter-measure systems for light armoured vehicles (Part of the Defensive Aid Suite (DAS) project based on the LAV III)

Lyrtech contribution:

• Design electronics and software for a several sub-modules included in the FAVS

Infozone

• Problem:
  • Confusion in multiple information sources and protocols for emergency situation command and control centers

• Solution:
  • Use DSP platforms:
    • As universal base stations for digital and analog radio protocols to provide a "unified" data communications format
    • As processing platforms for audio, video and other digital information

• Benefit:
  • Rapid integration of multi-standard communications to provide timely access to all audio, video and data available and allow intercommunication between intervention units
  • Standardize data presentation to assist command and control using technological advances in DSP for audio, video and data processing
