SignalMaster Quad Virtex-4
The SignalMaster Quad Virtex-4 cPCI development board, a significant improvement over the existing SignalMaster Quad Virtex-II board, is specifically designed to help develop and test DSP algorithms through its combination of FPGA and DSP devices. It comes with a complete board software development kit to reach development goals quickly and efficiently. With the SignalMaster Quad Virtex-4 it is also possible to simultaneously design and test in a real-time environment through the board’s integration to the model-based design software tools for Simulink.
The SignalMaster Quad Virtex-4 is designed around two clusters of one Virtex-4 LX FPGA and two TMS320C6416 DSP. Each cluster is capable of delivering up to 16,000 MIPS/MMACS of DSP processing power and 48 GMACS of FPGA-based DSP processing power.
Connecting the optional DRC Virtex-4 (with their 8-Gbps, full-duplex RapidCHANNEL links) to the SignalMaster Quad Virtex-4 opens the way to interconnecting SignalMaster Quad Virtex-4 or combining them with VHS-ADC/DAC Virtex-4 high-speed conversion boards in the same cPCI chassis.

- The DRC Virtex-4, a RapidCHANNEL/FPDP expansion module with one TX and one RX RapidCHANNEL ports capable of 1 GBps (8 bits) and two configurable RX/TX FPDP-I, 400-MBps ports.
