DSP/FPGA DEVELOPMENT PRODUCTS Control Embedded System
Integrated, Model-based Development Environment Needed Today
Manufacturers recognize that the cost-feasibility gap between increased product complexity and shorter development times can only be closed by streamlining development tasks for embedded systems. In essence, tasks must be optimized and run in parallel, requiring highly efficient development processes and systems that integrate every development stage.
The Lyrtech Development Solution
Lyrtech platforms leverage the widely recognized V-Cycle process for the development of control embedded systems. This approach integrates three key features:
Rapid Control Prototyping MatLab/SimuLink® allow to architecture the modules and model your functions. It also provide fast iteration cycles. |
 |
Automatic Production Code Generation As soon as your functions are modeled and validated, Lyrtech DSPLink and FPGALink generates highly efficient C and VHDL code directly from SimuLink®. |
 |
Hardware-in-the-Loop Co-Simulation Lyrtech Signal Master allows you to capture test and optimize your functions in real time. Any errors that occur can be reproduced at any time. |
These modules are compatible with SignalMaster Development Platforms:
Rapid prototyping
Rapid prototyping is used to develop and optimize new control concepts. Design tools such as MATLAB/Simulink® enable you to design controllers directly in the block diagram. Real-time code is generated from the block diagram and automatically implemented on flexible prototype hardware such as the Lyrtech SignalMaster. In a closed loop, you can record time histories in real time, change parameters on-line, and run various scripts. Perform these tasks during early development, and you can lower overall development costs.
Automatic Production Code Generation
Why spend hours and days on programming controllers manually, only to find scores of errors in the code later? The solution is automatic production code generation directly from the block diagram. DSPLinK and FPGALink generate highly efficient production code from Simulink/Real Time WorkShop®.
Hardware-in-the-loop Co-Simulation
Once the control software has been implemented in the prototype, it has to be put through tests and simulations. Now, time-to-market pressures are forcing engineers to perform these tests and simulations before field tests. Hardware in the loop co-simulation is the trusted, cost-effective method of performing system tests in a virtual environment. Most of the environment components are replaced by mathematical models, while the components to be simulated are inserted into the closed loop. Since all this process is reproducible, it also allows traceability for increasing safety requirements.
