FPGA programmer
Lyrtech is currently looking for an FPGA programmer for its offices in Quebec City. When you join the Lyrtech team you, among other tasks, will be called upon to:
- Develop FPGA and CPLD code for our line of advanced development platforms (ADPs)
- Write about the technical aspects of Lyrtech products
- Act as technical support staff regarding problems with ADP FPGAs
The successful applicant must be proficient in French (spoken and written) and hold a bachelor’s degree in computer or electrical engineering. Two to four years of previous experience in a similar position is also necessary to be considered.
The ideal applicant must master VHDL, C, and C++, as well as be familiar with the MATLAB environment. The applicant must also have prior experience working with Virtex and Spartan-family FPGAs from Xilinx.
The successful applicant is sociable, motivated, resourceful, and works well in a team. He is also quite adaptable and analytical.

Electronics engineer
Lyrtech is currently looking for an electronics engineer for its offices in Quebec City. As such, you will be called upon to:
- Take part in elaborating project propositions
- Solve digital signal processing problems of a physical nature, and then develop and deploy solutions
- Take part in research and development projects, from planning to manufacturing
- Start up prototypes
- Interact with internal and external customers about the technical aspects of their projects
To fill this role, we are looking for an individual holding a bachelor’s degree in electric engineering, computer engineering or physics engineering (or above), as well as three to five years of relevant experience in a similar position. The ideal candidate should also:
- Demonstrate practical knowledge of electronics hardware design (schematics, DSPs, FPGAs, analog electronics, microcontrollers, and such)
- Demonstrate practical knowledge of embedded software design (C, C++)
- Demonstrate the capacity to understand application problems involving sensors and controllers, and then develop effective solutions (have a “physical” sense)
- Demonstrate an interest for systems integration and a strong ability for it
- Demonstrate the ability to take part in every aspects of projects (not be afraid to get one’s hands dirty)
- Demonstrate good mechanical skills
- Preferably have previous experience in optics and digital vision

Production procurement coordinator
Lyrtech is currently looking for a production procurement coordinator. As such, under the supervision of the manufacturing operations director, you will be called upon to:
- Oversee the progress of projects involving production
- Closely monitor subcontractors
- Be constantly in touch with project managers to keep them informed of delivery lead times
- Maintain detailed worksheets with order data and customer requests
- With the manufacturing operations director, plan production phases at optimum cost and shortest possible lead times
- Coordinate optimum component usage and supply to ensure availability and guarantee delivery within planned lead times
- Write and keep up-to-date reports about work progress, components used and production levels, for example
The ideal candidate holds a college degree in electronics and at least three years of prior experience in production management.
The candidate should also have a good knowledge of inventory management software. An excellent knowledge of Part-List is also a plus.

Electronic design engineer
Lyrtech is presently looking for an electronic design engineer. Under the supervision of the R&D director, ADP division, you will be called upon to:
- Design electronic boards equipped with the latest high-speed ADCs and DACs, as well as design RF electronic boards
- Take part in the hardware design reviews of the ADP division
- Act as project manager in hardware design projects
- Write such documents as acceptance test plans and design verification tests
- Assist production in resolving production problems and RMA problems, as necessary
- Take part in elaborating technical propositions for new products
- Evaluate times and budgets associated with electronic design
- Assist the product line manager with the technical aspects of introducing new products to market
The ideal candidate is a bachelor of electrical engineering with four to six years of prior experience in the field of electronics board design. The candidate must also have prior experience designing boards equipped with high-speed ADCs and DACs (sampling frequencies of 100 MHz or more). Prior experience designing RF boards, as well as experience or a strong interest for project management will be considered major assets.
The candidate should have a thorough knowledge of P-CAD, ChipScope Pro and MATLAB. A familiarity with Mentor Graphics software, PSpice and Part-List is also a plus.

R&D technician
Lyrtech is currently looking for an R&D technician for its head office in Quebec City. When you join the Lyrtech team, you will be called upon to:
- Assist engineers in starting up products
- Modify electronic schematics
- Create and maintain product parts lists
- Participate in the elaboration of test benches
- Participate in transferring products from engineering to production
The successful applicant must be proficient in French (spoken and written), motivated and dynamic. The applicant must also hold a college diploma in electronic engineering. Five years of prior experience or more in a similar position is also essential.
The selected applicant must be outgoing and work well in a team. A very good knowledge of SolidWorks and Partlist will be considered a major asset. Prior experience assembling electronic circuits will also be considered an asset.
